Notably, significant snowfall occurred around December 22nd, with heavy snow showers leading to accumulations of approximately 15 inches (37 cm) over two days.  This substantial snowfall improved skiing conditions considerably, allowing for the opening of 85 trails, accounting for 78% of the resort’s pistes.


Following this period, the weather stabilized with clear skies and milder temperatures, contributing to favorable skiing conditions for the remainder of the month. Overall, December 2024 offered a mix of weather patterns, culminating in a productive snowfall that enhanced the skiing experience in Courchevel.


Tourist occupancy :


Specific occupancy rates for Courchevel in December 2024 are not readily available. However, projections indicated a 7% increase in tourist attendance for the 2023-2024 winter season compared to the previous year, with a 3.8% rise anticipated during the Christmas holidays.
