What's New On Courchevel Slopes 2017/2018

In less than 2 weeks the 2017/2018 winter season will start in Courchevel. The snow is already there and more snow dumps are forecast. Here are the opening dates of the tree Vallees resorts :
Val Thorens is open since the 19th of November and some lucky ones are already skiing.
Courchevel, Meribel and Les Menuires will open the 9th of December.
Courchevel 1650, Saint Martin de Belleville, La Tania will open the 16th of December. All resorts will be fully open by then.
For the speed and fun enthusiasts, a new 3 kilometers sledge run has been built in Courchevel 1650. Tunnels, huge turns are available every afternoon all winter season. And good news, it will be open at night. I can’t wait to experience the thrill, I will keep you update.
A new gondola has been built in Courchevel 1650. Remember the long, very long lift of Ariondaz ? Well it’s over ! An astonishing 18,5 millions euros 8 seats gondola is in place now. At 6 meters per second the 2,5 kilometers ride will be much quicker. A must indeed as the system needed a real update, with a 2400 persons per hour capacity queues are over.
